Gina Horan - Director/ Instructor
Mrs. Gina has been a dancer for 39 years. She is well versed in all forms of dance including jazz, ballet, tap, modern, hip-hop & lyrical. She started dancing at The Dance Project of Whitestone in Queens NY. Gina attended the performing arts program for dance at Cardozo High School. While attending college, she also studied at various studios in NYC such as Broadway Dance Center and Steps to name a few. She started teaching at The Dance Project of Whitestone at the age of 16 and taught there for 9 years. At the age of 23 , Gina decided to open Broadway City Style Dance Studio. Mrs. Gina has been the WHS Musical choreographer since 2018 and for the WMS musical since 2019. She has been a dance teacher since 1997 and a very proud owner of BCS Dance Studio since 2004.

Alexandra Ortiz - Instructor
Ms. Alex has been studying all styles of dance since she was 4 years old. She is professionally trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Modern. She grew up participating in several professional dance companies throughout Westchester and New York City. She also was a competitive gymnast and participated in competitions throughout the tristate area. She has participated in off broadway shows, jazz and contemporary companies, and participated in numerous dance productions throughout college.
Alex has a degree in Physical Therapy, Exercise Science, and Kinesiology. She incorporates her knowledge of the mechanics of the body into her dance instruction and understands the importance of proper, healthy dance training to achieve the goals of the students.
Alex has been an instructor at BCS Dance studio since 2012. She is incredibly excited to be at the studio and share her passion for dance. She loves to get the students engaged and excited to dance and most importantly have a ton of fun.

Elise Capozzi - Instructor
Ms. Elise has been dancing since she was 5 years old and has
experience in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop,
contemporary, and lyrical. She was a dancer at BCS Dance Studio for 8 years before she went off to college, where she continued her dance education.While a student at BCS, she enjoyed being a student teacher for many years. Her passion for education expanded
beyond the world of dance. Elise graduated from
Salve Regina University in 2019 with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education Grades 1-6 with a minor in dance.
Throughout her four years in the dance program at
Salve Regina, she had the opportunity to take
ballet, modern, and jazz classes from dynamic instructors
such as Lindsay Guarino, Melody Gamba, and Kimberly Calore-Sedlak.
These instructors, as well as her dance peers, challenged
Elise to reach her potential as a dancer and choreographer. In addition to her dance minor, sheparticipated in Salve Regina’s SRU Dance club
for all four years and performed in eight
productions. Elise choreographed three tap pieces and a lyrical piece during her time in the club.
She is currently a graduate student at Manhattanville College in the Literacy Birth-Grade 6program and will graduate in May of 2021. Elise is very excited to return to BCS as an instructorand is looking forward to sharing her passion for dance with students of all ages.

Kelly Horan - Instructor
Ms. Kelly started dancing at the age of 2 years old. She is well versed in Ballet, Jazz, & Tap. She has studied dance at BCS Dance Studio along with Broadway Dance Center and has attended workshops with the Radio City Rockettes. Kelly has been a featured dancer for her school musicals since the age of 12 and has aspirations of becoming a professional dancer.
She has a passion of dance and loves sharing it with children. She loves being able to pass on her dance skills to younger kids, and teach them something they can use for years to come. Her skill and caring nature brings a smile to our students faces and encourages them to be outstanding little dancers. Along with teaching at BCS, she is currently attending Fordham University. She is a member and Dance Captain of the Dance Co-Op team at Fordham, which allows her to learn more about leading in a positive atmosphere, and allows her to continue learning different dance styles.
